COUNTIME is a hardcore band from the streets of North East Los Angeles that started at the end 2004 it started as a side project that included members from DIFFERENCE OF OPINION (Javier Lopez) ,SET ASIDE and MAKE MOVE (Jaime Dela Mora).
They released a demo called the “Let the legacy begin” in December 2004 played a few shows shortly after that they signed with No Joke Records in 2005 who would release their first EP “Broken,Blinded,Betrayed” on CD digipack. The record was well received and gave the band the opportunity to tour the East Coast, Dirty South and numerous shows across the border.
Los Angeles ghetto life was the band’s focus to tell the story of L.A. life as seen through there eyes. Mixing hardcore with explicit street lyrics these guys made their impact on the scene and continued to tour over the years. In 2008 COUNTIME went into Mediaskare Studios to record their latest album to date ‘It is what it is” this was the album that would define the L.A.H.C sound that the band had been pushing for over the years. Unfortunately things went sour between the band and there label(NJR) so the record was never released however COUNTIME decided to release it on the internet.
In 2010 after a memorial show held for their closest friend who was killed from a shotgun wound to the head COUNTIME would take a break to pursue personal projects the show included legendary hip-hop artist Kemo the Blaxican(Delinquent Habits). COUNTIME does not hold back and represents L.A. to the fullest.
In 2015 the band went into the studio and began jamming again with original guitarist Mike Urcid and Drummer Eric Urcid, bassist Johnny Perez and new member Liam Ollie Dunne (ex 4 IN THE CHAMBER)
In 2016 they released there Ep “Ostracized” on purple vinyl and CD and have been touring and playing as much they can.
2017 Eric Urcid play his last show in Santa Cruz he would then leave the band to pursue lifetime goals and parted ways with the band on good terms (A TRUE BROTHER FOR LIFE)…just as he was he departing COUNTIME would be releasing a spilt 7′ on Pitchfork Records with NYHC band SWORN ENEMY which was produced by Billy Graziadei (BIOHAZARD/POWERFLO) they are currently working on new material for the full length…and added to the COUNTIME camp legendary NYHC drummer Riggs Ross (Madball,Skarhead,Crown of thornz,Subzero,Hatebreed) on the throne who would jump on the road with a erupted hernia to play a few shows with MURPHY’S LAW and start working on the full length..Riggs would record 5 new tracks with the band on the upcoming split with SPIDER CREW on Knives Out Records.
