VERNITA GRIM is born in late 2025 and finishes taking shape mid 2026 with the addition of the
last of the four members. The band quickly consolidates its sound and style within the genres of hardcore, groove metal and metalcore, drawing on influences from bands such as Kublai Khan, Knocked Loose…
VERNITA GRIM is formed by Mikel (drummer), Omar (voice), Aitzol (bass) and Javi (guitar). The quick understanding and extensive experience of the members makes for the creation and recording of their first album to happen over the course of half a year after the birth of the project.
Their first LP is loaded with aggressive sounds; raw and energetic, packed with an instrumental section with strong riffs and heavy breakdowns, accompanied by harsh and blunt voices. Written fully in Basque, its lyrics touch on topics of social conscience like police brutality, imperialism and hypocrisy.
Aitzol – Bass • Mikel- Drums • Omar – Vocals • Javi – Guitar
